Since 2013

School Support and Beyond has been established in 2013 by a group of independent entrepreneurs. They work on a voluntary basis and cover all costs themselves, allowing the Foundation to effectively use 100% of the donations for the projects.

Since the establishment in 2103 I am involved in the Foundation. I am married, we have 2 children and live in Lelystad. For us a decent education and personal development for our children is essential and obvious. By means of the Foundation I would like to make this possible for more children. We will try to reach and activate potential donors by sharing our enthusiasm for the projects we would like to realize, as well as giving transparent information in regard to the accomplished results. My personal goal for our Foundation is to contribute to the magnificent Africa that I now only know as a tourist. Will you help us by becoming a donor?

Annemiek van den Noort, Treasurer

I am actively engaged in School Support and Beyond as I often realize how well-off I am. That means that I also have the possibilities to help others. The African continent is in my heart, I have been there many times. What strikes me every time when I’m there is that if children get a chance for education they grab it with both hands. Education is the foundation for a child, being able to read and write gives confidence and the possibility to develop an active role in life. For me this is hugely important and the reason why I participate. Within the board of the Foundation I am responsible for finance. It is my task to make sure all financial activities and transactions are clear and transparent. Besides that I love to talk about the projects we support to anyone who is interested.

For me it is an obvious choice to participate in a Foundation that helps children with their education and possible next steps. I myself also had some important support during high school. Without this help I had not been able to do this right now. Education is essential for every child. It is the key to self-reliance. "It's a small step for us, but a giant leap for a child". I am now working as an independent IT consultant and hope that within some years the group of children we supported can be proud of the profession they exercise.
